Getting the tlan driver to work in Debian

The Compaq Proliant 800 server has a Compaq NetFlex 3 network card built onto the motherboard. This uses the ThunderLAN (tlan) ethernet chipset. These instructions should work for any linux install.
  1. locate tlan.o // to make sure you have a compiled object file
  2. insmod tlan // to install the module into the kernel
  3. lsmod // to make sure it is there
  4. ifconfig eth0 // to make sure it is there
  5. pump // to refresh the dhcp info
