Pima Air & Space Museum
The Museum has over 250 aircraft on display. They offer a bus tour of the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (boneyard). All these photos were taken through the tinted window of the bus, they didn't ever let anyone get out since it's an active military base. Those B-1 Lancer bombers cost about a $250,000,000 dollars each new, and there's about 16 of them sitting there mothballed.
Titan Museum
The Titan Missile Museum is the only Titan II missile complex left. The daily tour shows you the surface, control room, and viewing level of the silo. It was an amazing time warp to go from the same control center abandoned 25 years ago to this museum version that had been maintained. The exact same layout was used, so it was bizarre to actually see how something looked after seeing the abandoned version. All of our other gold mine, abandoned building, etc explorations had only let us see the decayed version of things. Unfortunately, the group I was in was pretty big, but I hung out at the back of the group and the "don't let anyone wander around" guide actually worked with me to get some shots without people in them :)
Also check out the Titan II Missile Site Comparison page for my photos side by side from each site.
