Biometrics are a bad idea because once someone knows how to spoof you, you're screwed. If you lose your credit card then you can cancel that number and get a new one. If someone figures out how to fake your fingerprint or retinal scan, you can't just cancel your fingers and eyes. While biometrics may sound like a good idea right now, when they fail they fail severely.
