Drugs: Super Bowl Drug War
Posted by kallahar on Feb.12.02 at 07:32 am PST.

kallahar writes During the Super Bowl there were several anti-drug commercials. KPFK had a great dialog Tuesday that summed up the point of the commercials: making the producers feel good. Ads like that ("buying drugs supports terrorism") do not encourage discussion and higher thought. Kids see these ads and tune them out because they know how often the government lies to them. One of the best classes I had in school was the one that just gave the facts straight up rather than trying to demonize everything. Guess what, I turned out okay.
